Wild About Gardens Week – a joint initiative by The Wildlife Trust and The Royal Horticultural Society – has prompted a surge in the North East property market with investors vying to bid on recently built “Bug Hotels”.

Intimation Creative Ltd’s, Andy Smith, commented: “the team here in Gateshead just completed the build this morning, kindly assisted by volunteers from Durham Wildlife Trust and the response has been overwhelming – the demand for these structures is truly unbelievable.”

The Bug Hotels, which offer shelter for all types of garden critters, are literally springing up all over the country, following the announcement of a nationwide competition, by The Wildlife Trust.

“The attraction of this particular property seems to be the nooks and crannies and the fact that they come, fully assembled and fully furnished”, says Adam Jackson of iMove North East, who is marketing the very first “Bug Hotel” FOR SALE on the Team Valley. “We have already had several interested parties sniffing around this afternoon and expect new owners to be in residence, prior to the weekend.”

Hundreds of eyes shall be watching developments over the coming weeks, as the Bug Hotel sales are concluded and they “Open for Business”.
